Our Mission
At Cumplesueños – Fulfilling Dreams, we rescue and provide lifelong care for abandoned, neglected, abused, and vulnerable animals, including those saved from slaughter, across Málaga and the surrounding areas. Every animal that comes to us is given the safety, compassion, and second chance they deserve, regardless of their age, species, or past.
But our mission goes far beyond rescue. We believe that animals have the extraordinary power to inspire compassion, educate future generations, and bring people together. Our sanctuary is a place where both animals and people can heal, connect, and thrive.
Through our work, we aim to raise awareness about animal welfare, promote kindness and respect for all living beings, and create meaningful experiences for children, schools, families, older people, and individuals with disabilities. By building these connections, we hope to inspire lasting change and create a future where every animal is valued, protected, and given the opportunity to live a life free from fear and suffering.

Meet Diana
Discover the story behind Cumplesueños Rescue and the passion that inspired Diana to create it.
Animals have always been at the heart of Diana's life.
Growing up surrounded by dogs, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, she developed a deep love and respect for animals from an early age. Whether caring for family pets or rescuing injured wildlife, she instinctively knew that every animal deserved kindness, compassion, and a safe place to call home.
One unforgettable experience shaped the future of Cumplesueños Rescue. While visiting a farm in Bavaria, Diana formed a special bond with a piglet named Dicki. Having to leave him behind was heartbreaking, and she made herself a promise that one day she would dedicate her life to ensuring that animals in her care would never face an uncertain future.
That promise became Cumplesueños Rescue.
At the age of sixteen, Diana volunteered at a local animal shelter during her Christmas holidays. It was there that she met Venito, a frightened German Shepherd cross who immediately captured her heart. After learning that Venito had stopped eating following her departure, she convinced her family to adopt him. It was a life-changing experience that confirmed rescuing animals wasn't simply something she loved—it was her life's purpose.
After qualifying as a lawyer, Diana moved to Málaga, Spain, intending to stay for just three months. More than twenty years later, Spain is still home. During that time, she became known locally for rescuing abandoned, injured, and neglected animals of all kinds. What began with helping stray dogs and cats quickly grew to include birds, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys, and many other animals that had nowhere else to turn.
For years, every rescue was funded personally through Diana's law firm. She never asked for help, choosing instead to quietly provide food, veterinary care, shelter, and lifelong homes for animals in need. As more and more animals arrived, it became clear that the mission had grown beyond what one person could support alone.
Today, Cumplesueños Rescue provides a permanent sanctuary for more than 200 rescued animals, each with their own unique story of survival and hope. Every animal receives the care, safety, and love they deserve, regardless of their age, species, or past.
But our vision goes beyond rescue. We want to create a place where children, schools, elderly people, and individuals with disabilities can experience the incredible bond between people and animals. Through education, compassion, and connection, we hope to inspire a future where every animal is treated with kindness and respect.
